Position Summary: The Marketing Communications (MarCom) Manager will play a key role in overseeing the end-to-end execution of trade shows, events, and marketing communications projects. This role requires a creative, organized, and strategic individual who can manage multiple tasks, collaborate with teams, and ensure timely delivery of marketing materials, event planning, and project milestones.
Responsibilities
Event Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, user conferences, and other key events, ensuring they are engaging and memorable for our audience.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date event roadmap of strategic events that supports company goals
- Conduct industry research to identify relevant events and gather feedback from stakeholders to optimize future participation.
- Review KPIs post-event to assess successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
Project & Budget Management:
- Create clear, organized project plans, communicate them with stakeholders, and track tasks to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.
- Manage event and project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet deadlines and hit key milestones.
- Maintain an up-to-date task management system (Monday.com) to track project progress.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that hours and budgets are accurately tracked.
Marketing & Communications Support:
- Support the creation of marketing collateral, including videos, brochures, presentations, and other materials in collaboration with the design team.
- Lead marketing efforts for tenders and RFPs, supporting teams with design, proofing, and overall communications strategies.
- Manage award submissions, identify speaking opportunities, and ensure company templates and materials are up-to-date and accessible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications or event management
- Experience in high-tech industries and at smaller-scale or late-stage startups is highly desirable
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven track record in budget management, vendor coordination, and event execution
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with task management tools (e.g., Monday.com) and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the work time
- A keen eye for design and the ability to work collaboratively with designers
