We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee our purchasing activities and ensure that our procurement processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and possess excellent negotiation and communication skills. will be responsible for locating key suppliers, negotiating the company's purchasing agreements, and ensuring that materials and products meet the company's specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Lead the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure that departmental goals are met.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the procurement process.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
  • Overseeing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborating with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and minimize transportation costs.
  • Implementing logistics technologies and systems to enhance visibility and tracking of shipments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  •  5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with 3 years in a leadership role in the manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes and achieving cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
