Modi’in, Israel, March 14, 2022Percepto, pioneering autonomous inspection by industrial robotics, today extended its appreciation for Thursday’s landmark report by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ARC). The report release moves the needle towards creating a new law for standardizing and streamlining safe BVLOS flights. As a member of the ARC, Percepto is very excited to see this important stage completed, which will help increase the adoption of drones within many industries and applications in the U.S.

“The FAA’s report represents a huge industry turning point in the journey towards a new rule for BVLOS flights, and we highly commend them for this,” said Percepto VP Policy and Government Affairs, Neta Gliksman. “Percepto undertook an active role in the committee as we know the significant benefits the remote operations of drones will bring to critical infrastructure sites, from enabling swifter incident response to vastly accelerating efficiency across inspections and operations, which will be especially welcomed in the current climate.”

Percepto created Autonomous Inspection and Monitoring (AIM), a field-proven software solution for industrial sites that employs drones and robots to automate inspections, emergency response and security. With Percepto AIM, critical and industrial facilities can prevent serious failures, respond quickly to disasters, and enable business continuity remotely and without a human operator. Percepto AIM is the only end-to-end automated inspection solution on the market with its platform providing data capture to AI-powered insights at Fortune 500 companies around the world.

“At a higher level, this step will also assist power and utility plants as well as other industrial companies in working towards their ESG goals,” said Gliksman. “Having already gained landmark regulatory BVLOS approvals for our customers due to our solution’s proven safety, simplicity and ease of operation, we know that innovation is key to ushering in a new era for drone operations. We will continue to play a driving force to normalize BVLOS.”
